About Gary Tiemann, LCSW
As a psychotherapist I am always interested in the things that effect our understanding of behaviors, motivations, relationships as well as our emotional and spiritual well being.
I find it fascinating to examine all the different ways individuals manage the interplay between the ego that tries to seduce us into thinking we can and should be in control of our lives while we therapist types understand that ultimately all control is an illusion. Temporary manageability is the best we can do. If anyone thinks they are in control of their life circumstances I point out to just give it some time. Death is the exclamation point at the end of the sentence that reminds us that ultimately all control is an illusion.
What a relief to learn that death is not the end! How much anxiety is perpetrated by the idea that eternal damnation is on the line and you have one opportunity to succeed?
When we expand the aperture and begin to see the wider, more complete, more in-depth perspective of life, we have the opportunity to navigate the landscape of life with more knowing and effectiveness. Peace will follow.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Louisiana. While my practice of psychotherapy is limited to Louisiana I can be available for information and educational purposes beyond the boundaries of Louisiana. Within ILCS, Gary’s role is to help ensure that our work remains supportive and responsible for real people in real situations — particularly parents navigating children’s statements or adults dealing with recurring themes that affect daily life.
How Psychotherapy Informs Reincarnation Research

It is important to note that clinical support does not require a fixed belief about reincarnation. It supports the person regardless of interpretation.
