Reincarnation.info is the primary website of the Institute for Life Continuity Studies (ILCS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated on January 26, 2026. This site is our front door — the place where education, research, community, and tools come together for anyone exploring the continuity of life.
We believe that reincarnation is a subject worthy of serious, careful inquiry. Not as doctrine. Not as entertainment. Not as therapy. As a question that deserves better tools, clearer language, and more honest conversation than it has historically received.
Whether you are a researcher, a parent trying to understand a child’s statements, an adult reflecting on unexplained memories, or simply someone who is curious — you are welcome here. Participation does not require belief. Investigation does not require certainty.
“Spiritually deep, intellectually sharp, emotionally safe, and practically helpful.”
Our Posture: A Bridge, Not a Decider
ILCS is intentionally positioned between belief and dismissal. We organize, translate, and educate. We do not declare identities, assign souls, or tell people what to believe.
Every case on this site is labeled with its evidence type (A–F), scored against a validated rubric, and accompanied by alternative explanations. When a claim originates from intuitive or medium-based sources, we say so — clearly and prominently. When the evidence is strong, we say that too. Our job is to present the information honestly and let you draw your own conclusions.
We hold ourselves to a four-point test on every piece of content we publish:
- Visionary — Does this point toward a bigger, future-oriented view of life and consciousness?
- Grounded — Is it concrete enough that someone knows what we actually do or offer?
- Compassionate — Would a sensitive, grieving, or questioning person feel safe reading this?
- Ethical — Does this respect the reader’s intelligence, time, and autonomy?
If all four are yes, it’s in our voice. If any one fails, it doesn’t ship.
What We Do
- Preserve and modernize the 330+ case archive originally compiled by Dr. Walter Semkiw at ReincarnationResearch.com — applying evidence labeling, privacy protections, and updated publishing standards to every case
- Publish educational content — blog posts, case write-ups, video series, and webinars that make reincarnation research accessible without sensationalism
- Build modern research tools — the Reincarnation Case Map, AI-assisted case analysis, the Case Builder, and the forthcoming Continuity Archive
- Support experiencers and families — providing practical guidance, especially for parents of children reporting past-life memories, in a calm, non-pressuring, evidence-aware framework
- Maintain a community forum at ReincarnationForum.com for thoughtful discussion among experiencers, researchers, and curious minds
- Develop and document our methodology — including the dual-track approach, A–F evidence labeling system, and 10-Point Validation Matrix
What Is Reignite?
Reignite is campaign language — a banner for renewed momentum in public education and responsible publishing around reincarnation and life continuity. It is not a separate organization. It is a strategic initiative of ILCS.
Reignite began as a simple way to describe the transition of Walter Semkiw’s research legacy into a modern institutional home. The name captures the spirit of what we are doing: keeping a flame alive, with fresh energy, modern tools, and transparent method.
“The candle changes; the flame continues.”
Our Mission This Year
“Reignite efforts are tightening the foundation: clearer navigation, better access to legacy material, and steady, responsible publishing as we grow in 2026.”
In Memoriam: Dr. Walter Semkiw (1954–2024)
With deep gratitude and remembrance, we honor Dr. Walter Semkiw, founder and longtime steward of ReincarnationResearch.com and a pioneering voice in modern reincarnation research.
Walter authored three books — Return of the Revolutionaries, Born Again, and Origin of the Soul — that brought reincarnation research to a wider public audience. He developed the 10-Point Validation Matrix that remains the backbone of all ILCS case evaluation. He pioneered a dual-track methodology that combined empirical investigation with channeled input through trance medium Kevin Ryerson, always pushing toward a more complete picture of what the evidence might mean.
His visionary force, scholarly curiosity, and tireless devotion laid the groundwork for the archive, the methodology, and the community that ILCS now stewards. His legacy continues through every case preserved, every question asked, and every bridge built between research and meaning.
ILCS remains committed to advancing this work with the same discipline, care, and respect Walter brought to it. Support for this work is directed through ILCS-controlled donation pages, with permission from Walter Semkiw’s family estate.
Advisory Board
ILCS is guided by a diverse, interdisciplinary advisory board whose insight helps keep our work both bold and grounded.
Henry Bieryla
Education & Curriculum Development
With a background in curriculum development and educational outreach, Henry’s focus is translating deep research into materials that are accessible, digestible, and inspiring for wide audiences. He helps ensure that complex case material and methodology can reach parents, students, and newcomers without losing rigor.
Kevin Ryerson
Spiritual Communication & Mediumship
Kevin, a trance medium active in earlier work with ReincarnationResearch, contributes experiential insight into spiritual communication, channeling, and the interpretive dimensions of memory phenomena. His long-standing collaboration with Walter Semkiw — channeling the spirit guide Ahtun Re — produced many of the identity hypotheses that form the intuitive track of ILCS research. Kevin’s contributions are always labeled transparently as intuitive-track material.
Robert A.F. Thurman (Bob Thurman)
Tibetan Buddhism & Cultural Preservation (South Asia)
Bob Thurman is a renowned scholar and the first Westerner to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist monk by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Named by The New York Times as the leading American expert on Tibetan Buddhism, Bob served as the Jey Tsong Khapa Professor of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies at Columbia University for 30 years. He is the co-founder and active president of Tibet House US, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Tibetan culture. His expertise in Buddhist philosophy, reincarnation studies, and cross-cultural spiritual dialogue brings invaluable depth to our exploration of consciousness, memory, and rebirth phenomena.
Janna Weiss, PhD
Liaison for Tibet House, Buddhist Studies, Judaism & Cross-Cultural Research
Janna links ILCS to contemplative traditions, interfaith dialogue, and philosophical perspectives — particularly Buddhist and Jewish lenses on memory, rebirth, and identity. Her cross-cultural perspective helps us avoid Western-centric framing and engage respectfully with traditions that have studied these questions for millennia.
Gary Tiemann, LCSW
Reincarnation Research & Psychotherapy
Gary’s experience in psychotherapy and soul-memory integration offers balance and psychological sensitivity, especially when working with families, emotional narratives, and memory work. His clinical background helps us maintain appropriate boundaries between research documentation and therapeutic practice.
Chuck McMurray
Digital Technologies, AI & Web Design
Chuck leads the technical and digital strategy for ILCS, combining expertise in web architecture, human-centered UX, and emergent AI tools. He built the Reincarnation Case Map, guides the Continuity Archive vision, and designs the platforms that integrate archive, analysis, and community engagement.
Ashok Kumar Sharma, PhD
Promotion of Reincarnation Research in India
Dr. Sharma’s network and expertise help ensure that Indian case traditions, scholarship, and perspectives are well represented in our global vision. India has one of the richest traditions of documented reincarnation cases, and Dr. Sharma’s connections to regional researchers and institutions are essential to responsible cross-cultural work.
Shai Tubali
Kundalini, Chakras & Expansion of Consciousness
Shai contributes awareness of energy systems — Kundalini, chakras, consciousness expansion — and how they may interface with memory phenomena. He serves as a bridge between experiential traditions and case analysis, bringing contemplative practice perspectives into dialogue with empirical inquiry.
Satyen Yadav, PhD
Promotion of Reincarnation Research in India & South Asia
Dr. Yadav works in synergy with Dr. Sharma to support translations, regional research collaborations, and outreach to academic and cultural partners in India and South Asia. His work ensures that the strongest research tradition in this field is not treated as peripheral but as foundational.
